My Story

I lived with both of my parents until my mom left my dad. She took my little sister with her. My older sister is living with our aunt. My brother, Frederick, and I were left with our alcoholic dad. We were not able to go to school consistently because any money he earned went to support his drinking habit. We also missed a lot of meals and often went without eating. In our house, the three of us share a bedroom and we only have one bed. Some nights are my dad brings his drunk friends back to our house too. It is not safe. I am thankful to be rescued to Mahiga Children’s Home.
